What does a metal roof cost?
Our pricing starts at $4.50 per square foot installed. That figure is for our Masterrib exposed fastener panel, which is the most economical option we offer. Standing seam, metal shingles and stone coated steel all run higher, and pitch, tear off, existing layers, roof complexity and access move any quote up or down. Use the instant quote tool for a real number on your own roof.
How long does a metal roof last?
Metal roofs last 40 to 70 years against 15 to 20 for asphalt shingles. Every roof we install is backed by a 40 year paint manufacturer warranty and a 10 year workmanship warranty that we personally cover. Most people who call us are replacing a shingle roof for the second or third time and are done doing it.
Are your roofs Energy Star rated?
Yes. Our steel roofing is Energy Star rated. The reflective finishes cut summer heat gain, which lowers cooling bills and makes the upstairs livable in August.
Can you install over my existing shingles?
Often, yes, and in many cases in as little as one day. It depends on the condition of the decking, the number of existing layers, and local code. We look before we quote, and we will tell you plainly if a tear off is the right call rather than the cheaper one.
Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
No, and this is the question we get most. A metal roof over solid decking and underlayment is not measurably louder than asphalt. The noise people remember is a bare panel over open purlins on an old barn, which is a completely different assembly.
Do you make your own panels?
We do. We run our own roll forming and custom trim in Goshen. That means panel lengths cut to your roof instead of to a shipping truck, fewer seams, precision-fit trim, and no waiting on a supplier in the middle of your job.
What areas do you serve?
Northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan. Goshen, Elkhart, South Bend, Warsaw and the surrounding communities, across to Niles, Three Rivers, Sturgis and the lakeshore. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
